To the Parents/Guardians:
I hope you had a wonderful summer with your family and friends. During the summer, our staff has been busy planning instruction, replenishing supplies, and cleaning the building. Their hard work is extremely appreciated and I applaud their efforts in preparing for the 2024-2025 school year. The PTO
continues to enhance our school by planning various activities throughout the year for our students. Please consider joining the PTO and helping in any way possible so that we can maintain quality programs for our students.
As a reminder, our instructional program begins promptly at 9:15 a.m. and concludes at 3:25 p.m. Students are permitted to enter the building at 9:00 a.m. Students receiving breakfast in the cafeteria may enter at 8:45 a.m. Students may not arrive before these times since supervision of students will not be available.
I am extremely impressed with the teachers and staff at Walden Elementary School. Each one of them brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to their position and I feel fortunate to be a part of this outstanding learning community. It is my belief that optimal student achievement is achieved when the school and the family work together in a collaborative relationship. I look forward to meeting you this year and working together for the benefit of your child.
Post Cards will be sent out with bus information. Please use this information as a guide for your child’s busing schedule. The first day of school is Thursday, September 5 , 2024. Walden’s Open House is scheduled for
Thursday, September 12th , beginning at 6:30 p.m. As I encourage you to enjoy the final days of summer, I would also like to remind you of the importance of reading for at least twenty minutes each day and
practicing math facts with your children. I look forward to working with you to ensure a successful school year for all students.
