Information about CTEC
Students have the option to enroll in a Career and Technical Education (CTEC) program typically following their Sophomore year of high school. CTEC programs are usually 2 years in length.
In order to be accepted to any program, students must meet certain pre-requisites ( attendance, discipline and grades) set by the District and are also subject to CTEC program availability.

- Construction Careers Academy
- Business Computer Careers Academy
- Culinary Careers Academy
- Education Careers Academy
- Environmental Careers Academy
- Health Careers Academy
- Security Careers Academy
- STEM Careers Academy
- Transitional Careers Academy
- Transportation Careers Academy
- Visual Arts Careers Academy
Students Who Attend CTEC
- Come to VC for half of the school day, and attend their program at CTEC for the other half of the day
- Attend either the AM or PM sessions of CTEC
- In the AM session, attend CTEC during periods 1-5. AM session students can only attend up to 4 VCHS classes
- PM students attend CTEC during periods 7-9. PM Students are able to attend up to 6 VCHS classes during the day. PM students arrive back at the high school around 3:30 in the afternoon
