The Board of Education recognizes the importance of cocurricular and extracurricular programs. These programs provide students with opportunities to follow special interests in hobbies, sports, arts and crafts and in academic areas. In order to be eligible for participation in cocurricular and extracurricular programs, a student may not have an average of less than 65% in more than one subject.
Eligibility and continued participation in cocurricular and extracurricular activities are a privilege extended to students, as opposed to a right, and the behavioral standards set forth in the District Code of Conduct and its corresponding sections apply to all students participating in any cocurricular and/or extracurricular activity.
