Four Valley Central students were honored at the annual County Executive Youth Awards Luncheon on May 20. For more than 30 years, the event seeks to recognize exceptional youth and other community members.
Walden Elementary School student Alicia Kraus and East Coldenham Elementary Student Akoy Parker won second and third place, respectively in the “Positive Change Leading to Success” category. The award represents a positive change that has impacted a youth’s overall performance.
Anthony Adams and Calista Bond, both Valley Central High School students were recognized with Certificates of Honor for the “Outstanding Citizenship/Volunteerism/Leadership” category. The award represents the contributions of youth who demonstrate strong leadership skills and/or works on projects that enhance the community.
