May 11, 2016 - Science Research Symposium to be held on May 17

On Tuesday, May 17, 2015, students in the Valley Central High School Science Research Program will present another year’s worth of original scientific research. The night will be highlighted by keynote speaker, Justine Giffen, presenting her research, “Variety is the Spice of Life-Distinguishing between Medicinal, Culinary, and Ornamental Sages by DART-MS”.  Justine Giffen graduated from Valley Central High School in 2008 and is as graduate of the Science Research program. She received her B.S. in Chemistry from RPI in 2012 and is currently working on her PH.D at the University at Albany, SUNY.

 

 Speaker presentations will be given by all seniors in the Research Program and poster presentations will be made by juniors and sophomores. The night begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Valley Central High School JFK auditorium.  All are welcome and admission is free.  For more information, contact Dr. Fritz and Mr. Pizzonia at 457-2400.
