Valley Central Middle School National Junior Honor Society
As of 2003/2004, seventh and eighth grade students who maintain an average of 92.5 percent or higher during the first three marking periods will be candidates for membership in the National Junior Honor Society. Students who qualify academically will be further considered for membership by a faculty committee . This committee will consider the student's Character, Leadership, Citizenship and Service. Students are also required to submit an essay describing the five characteristics of the NJHS and submit a list of at least 2 community services and at least 1 school extracurricular activity. Selection into the National Junior Honor Society is not guaranteed.
The Selection process will begin at the end of the third marking period. Students who are academically qualified will receive a packet to fill out and submit by a specific date. Details will follow.
